Meredith Sculpture Walk
MSW on Facebook
On behalf of the Greater Meredith Program we welcome you to our 3rd Annual Meredith Sculpture Walk! We are committed to beautifying Meredith and we felt that bringing public art to Meredith for the enjoyment of our residents and visitors was yet another way of accomplishing this mission. We have invited sculptors from all over the Northeast to participate in our year-round, outdoor, juried exhibition. The result is thirty-two sculptures positioned throughout Meredith in high visibility areas along Main Street, on the grounds of the Mill Falls Marketplace and in our lakeside Hesky and Scenic Parks. We plan this exhibition to be on-going with a percentage of sculptures to be refreshed yearly.
Through the generosity of local donors, Black Sailboat has been purchased and donated to the Town of Meredith and Hugh Gibbons, creator of Red Wing, has gifted his work to the Greater Meredith Program. Both sculptures will remain as permanent works.
Our concept for the Meredith Sculpture Walk began in 2012 with sculptural additions to the Courtyard on Main Street, a major GMP beautification project. Residents and visitors enjoyed them so much that we decided to expand the exhibit throughout the town and launched the Meredith Sculpture Walk. Through the enormous dedication and hard work of the MSW Committee and the continued generosity of our sponsors, we are delighted to present this year’s expanded exhibit.
Brochures are available in four kiosks located at the post office and entrances to the Courtyard on Main, and Hesky and Scenic Parks. They are also available at the Town Hall, the Meredith Library and various businesses throughout the walk. Above right, are links to the walking map, artist and sculpture information and a listing of dates and times for guided docent tours.
We hope you will explore and enjoy our 3rd Annual Meredith Sculpture Walk!
Please note: For purchase information regarding any sculpture in this exhibition, please contact the artist directly. The Greater Meredith Program does not act as facilitator for any purchase nor collect a fee. Rather, we celebrate with the artist a sale or generation of acommission to produce a new and unique sculpture.
